Closing toes

I'm busy closing toes on the socks. I have finally learned to close the toes from the inside of the sock. No more putting them on needles well that if i could remember to remove the heel lift on that last row. Form some reason I just started not removing it. Must be that I'm happy to celebrate another sock being done. ha, ha. We are getting a lot of rain on top of all the snow we had. We will have ice.... Thats not fun. I haven't had my car out of the driveway for a week. First the door was frozen shut from the snow then I ran the car for way over an hour trying to get all the ice to melt and the snow off the windows. No such luck I just turned off the car and went with my husband. I don't mind going shopping with him but he is always in a hurry to leave the stores.

With all the sock making for gifts I manage to knit a pair for myself that are really warm. We need warm socks.....

Look at my NZAK heel lift Marika Cowan put beads on them. It just perfect. Thanks You Marika

Lacey Retreat

I'm excited to be able to go to the Lacey Retreat this is the second year. I'm happy to be able to see all my friends and meet new ones. I hope one of these days I will see you there!

I am hoping the weather holds out so I can fly out. We had one week of snow and oh yes two days of rain on top of that. Thank goodness it has warmed up a little so most of the snow is melted the grass is looking good under the snow. The lake is thawing out so can't get on it at all. The ducks are on the lake walking on the ice.
I made a pair of mittens from Angora they are very soft I added Lycra as a run along not the cotton lycra but the spider web lycra. Now this is like making socks. I want to keep all of them. It's a good thing I live where I can : )

I have been working on handwarmers. Having fun making them here are a few I made

Need to close these socks

The Brown pair on the right is one of my hand dyed sock yarn The sock on the left is Regias Sock yarn the cuff, heel and toe are made from the dyed sock yarn I had 3 skeins of the Blue Regias .

Below I made myself a pair from the regias yarn. Okay green I think its my favorite color for socks for me. The green pair on the left I had knitted a year ago and both heels blow out so I took it apart and knitted on the CSM ... I'm happy that I was able to re knit it. It was knitted from a hand dyed I purchase on one of my trips to Fresno CA ..... The two green ones on the right are WildFoote sock yarn. The wide striped blue was left over from a sock yarn I bought from the Retreat in Lacey WA and the sock that has color around the ankle and above the toe is Knit Picks yarn that was left over.
I'm happy I was able to knit these sock. Before I started them I had a problem my yarn guide nut fell off when I was knitting. It took me awhile to figure out what happened. Couldn't find the nut... then the ribber spacer screw loosed and so I had two problems The ribber was to low so it was dropping stitches the guide was to low and making the ribber stitches drop. I finally got it to knit. .... Now I'm going to rest from the CSM and do some hand knitting that I need to do.
